The Aircraft Engineering Association of New Zealand (AEANZ) is the pre-eminent Aircraft engineering body of New Zealand. AEANZ was formed to amalgamate the “Engineering Division” of The Aviation Industry Association of New Zealand which is company based and The Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Technologists (SLAET) which is an organization based around individuals.
The Aircraft Engineers Association of New Zealand (AEANZ) is first and foremost dedicated to its members and to assisting them with their business, but also to:
- Promoting the industry ensuring the further development of a strong engineering industry in New Zealand.
- Being the first point of representation and advocacy for the engineering community within New Zealand on all matters affecting the industry, and fostering links with comparable organisations overseas.
- AEANZ shall be an operating division of the Aviation Industry of New Zealand (AIA) that, for the purposes of ensuring that the engineering community has appropriate representation, agrees that members of AEANZ may be either company or individual members, and may, at the discretion of the division, include members not directly engaged in providing engineering services.
