Membership Grades

AEANZ Member

Must be a Registered Limited Liability Company involved in aircraft engineering as a part 145, 146, 148 or as a part 66/43. The member will be represented by one individual, eligible for election as a committee member, deputy chair, chair and council member. (Must be ratified by the AIA council)

LAME

Membership in this grade is open to all licensed aircraft engineers (rated)

AME

Membership in this grade is open to all aircraft maintenance engineers BASIC license holder (non-rated) or tradesmen

Associate

Membership in this grade is open to any company involved in engineering support to an Aircraft Engineering Company

Trainee

Membership in this grade is open to any individual who is engaged as a trainee with an industry training provider and who has employment with an aircraft engineering company e.g ATTTO, NMIT, Massey University.

Student

Membership in this grade is open to any engineering student who is enrolled as a student with an industry training provider but not engaged by an aircraft engineering company

Special Member

For any position that falls outside the other positions (membership must be ratified by the AIA council)

Ageing Aircraft Seminars
The CAA and CASA are jointly hosting three seminars on ageing aircraft in May 2012.
CASA has a presentation on "Ageing Aircraft Management Plan" Stage Two Implementation Phase.
These seminars will be followed by a short presentation on the Cessna SIDs programme for the 100-series and 200-series aircraft.
The presentations are pitched at owner/operators of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, private, flight training, agricultural and air transport operators – anyone operating an aircraft over 20 years old.
All seminars start at 9 am, finish approximately 3 pm.
Timaru Tue 15 May Grosvenor Hotel, 26 Cains Terrace
Wellington Wed 16 May CAA, 15 floor, Asteron Centre, Bunny Street
Auckland Thu 17 May Sudima Hotel, 16 Airpark Drive, Airport Oaks
There is no charge to attend these seminars. Morning tea, light lunch, and afternoon tea provided.
